This year on the 28th of August 2016, I Lena-Jo am proud to say I gave birth to my first child at River Ridge East Birth Centre/Hospital. My experience so far has been amazing, the staff are wonderful here, help and support is available to me whenever I want and knowing that makes me feel comfortable. I wouldn’t want to spend my first few days with my first baby anywhere else. I’m proud to have made a bit of history here at River Ridge and plan to birth more here later on in the future."

"My partner and I have really enjoyed our stay at River Ridge. Having my first baby at hospital and then taken to NICU, this birthing experience with my second baby was totally different and really empowering, beautiful and everything I had hoped for (even though I just made it through the doors) The team of midwives are absolute angels and got me through the birth and recovery immediately after. I have felt really comfortable and well taken care of and will look back on my time at River Ridge with fondness. You are all so kind and helpful and a blessing to new Mums and their bubs. "We struggled a lot with latching and suckling at first. Every person who came in to support us were always incredibly kind and patient – at all hours of the night and day! Lots of positive praise from you all really went a long way. We appreciate your breastfeeding expertise! Beautiful food, large portion sizes, very generous! “Cannot fault the team, facilities, care, service and rooms. Can definitely tell that everyone is passionate about what they do! Everything smells fresh, linen is soft, towels fresh, food amazing and the staff are encouraging, acknowledgeable and caring. The staff have been lovely, from midwives to staff support, including the landscape lady are all friendly. A lovely stay and feel refreshed and ready to go home and into the next phase. “The staff were exceptional. Never made us feel dumb and always stayed friendly in a professional manner. They went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything. The midwife that was looking after us was amazing at teaching our new Dad how to bath the baby which was extremely educational. The food we received was better than some of the restaurant food we have received, portions and taste were great. The facilities and rooms were inviting, comfy and clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone. As first time parents everything is new and scary. The staff at River Ridge did a fantastic job at education and helping us with questions and concerns. Every staff member we came across had a smile and information ready to go!”

“Lovely birth rooms, I birthed here on a Monday and it was my third baby born in this centre. Warm homely feeling that helped make my birth straight forward. Lovely midwives always warm and welcoming. Dinners and snack were superb! Breakfast was very satisfying. Professional and friendly staff including the staff support, always respected my privacy. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and being able to spend 3 days bonding with my baby before we go home. Thank you for having us stay and providing this service to our town.
